Candle Care

When enjoying the aroma of luxury candles, you might sometimes find the wick buried or too short, making it difficult to light. However, don't worry, this can be fixed! Candle wicks can become too short for several reasons, such as improper wick size or quality, or perhaps because it was trimmed too much or not enough.

If the wick was already too short upon receiving your candle, it could be due to issues during shipping or delivery. Particularly in the summer, candles may melt if left too long in a hot delivery truck or on a porch.

Extreme temperature changes, especially in winter, can cause the candle wax to expand.

The way a candle burns is another factor.

Regular trimming is crucial for candle maintenance to prevent the wick from curling and "mushrooming." It's advisable to trim the wick every 3-4 hours to maintain an appropriate length and shape, preventing it from curling into the wax pool and becoming buried.

Trim the wick to 1/8 or 1/4 inch.

Tunneling occurs when only a small ring of wax around the wick melts as the candle burns, creating a tunnel rather than allowing the entire surface to melt evenly.

Always burn candles on a level, fire-resistant surface, away from drafts or heat sources, and do not burn for more than 3-4 hours at a time.

Reed Diffuser Care

Reed diffusers offer a stylish and natural method to infuse your home with captivating aromas. They deliver a gentle fragrance without the use of fire or electricity, enhancing the elegance of any space. Proper care is key to ensuring your diffuser functions well and remains visually appealing. Here are some vital tips for maintaining your reed diffuser so it continues to release pleasant scents for an extended period.

Choose an Ideal Location

The placement of your reed diffuser is important. It should be in an area with good air flow to distribute the scent uniformly. Steer clear of direct sunlight, heat, and drafts, which can cause the oil to evaporate too rapidly and shorten your diffuser's lifespan.

Regularly Flip the Reeds

For consistent fragrance strength, flip the reeds every couple of days. This action exposes the soaked ends to the air, promoting effective scent diffusion. Always flip the reeds over a paper towel or sink to avoid any spills and protect your surfaces.

With the right care and attention, your reed diffuser can offer a sustained and enchanting aromatic experience. Follow these straightforward tips to ensure your diffuser stays efficient and visually attractive. Let the calming fragrances of your chosen oils turn your home into a sanctuary of peace and serenity.

Wax Melt Care

Never leave wax melts unattended while they are in use.

Keep wax melts away from any flammable materials and ensure they are out of reach of children and pets.

Only use wax melts with appropriate melters or warmers specifically designed for them.

Do not add water or any other substances to the wax melt.

Add only one to two squares of wax to the burner to prevent overflow.

The intensity of the scent can vary based on several factors, such as the size of the room, whether doors or windows are open, and the presence of drafts.

Ensure the wax melt and melter have cooled completely before handling or moving them.
